Come to Walachia and Transylvania and follow Bram Stoker as he discovered and created in his mind the character that haunts your imagination and that of millions of people around the world. Come to Romania!

Day1: We welcome you at the Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport where we will board our vehicles on the way to our first stop, Targoviste, the capital of Walachia 500 years ago and the scene of some of the bloodiest scenes in medieval Europe, which gave the name The Impaler to Vlad. Welcome dinner, Walachian menu.

Day 2: Today will take us over the Carpathians and into Transylvania on what BBC’s Top Gear called the best road in the world, the scenic Transfagarasan. We will visit on this route the Poienari Fortress, Vlad’s military masterpiece, recently depicted in a documentary on History Channel, Accommodation and dinner in Sibiu in a 4 star hotel.

Day 3: After breakfast we visit Sibiu and stand on the very spot where Vlad the Impaler’s son was assassinated by the boyars after his father’s death. Find out more and more about the enemies of the Walachian ruler and the intrigues of the 16-th century in this picturesque and legendary medieval and baroque city. Visit of the Evangelic Cathedral and its tower. We continue our journey to SighisoaraDracula’s Birthplace, where we visit the town, including the cemetery and the Clock Tower, and stay for the night in a 5-star hotel, where we will also dine.

Day 4: After breakfast, we leave toward Viscri, a picturesque and almost untouched Saxon village, a favorite of Prince Charles of Great Britain. Here, it will be easier for us to see the difference between present day Romania and the times of Vlad the Impaler. We continue our journey to Brasov, where we will spend the night in a four star hotel. Dinner in a Saxon restaurant.

Day 5: The morning is reserved to the visit of Brasov, where Vlad the Impaler found his fiercest enemies: the Saxon merchantmen. We will find out why they plotted against him and have lunch in a traditional Romanian restaurant. Visit of the Black Church and city tour. In the afternoon, we go together to Dracula’s Castle, as the historic Bran Castle is widely advertised. W will see what is the connection between Bram Stoker, the castle and Vlad the Impaler. We sleep at a hotel in Sinaia, the royal summer residence of modern Romania.

Day 6: We start the day by visiting a real royal residence, the Peles Castle. Later, we head towards Bucharest, in search of the marks Dracula left in the nowadays capital of Romania. We tour the city and have dinner in a Romanian historic inn right next to the former court of Bucharest, close to our hotel for the night.

Day 7: We go south of Bucharest, in search of the resting place of Dracula in one of the monasteries he founded, the well-hidden Comarna. We return to Bucharest for visit to the History Museum of Romania. The night is dedicated to the farewell dinner. Accommodation in the same hotel as the night before.

Day 8: Depending on the our of the flight, we will help you find some more souvenirs in the shops of Bucharest or take you directly to the airport.
